Sleep is the common denominator when it comes to the health and well-being of humanity. Everyone needs sleep and everyone needs different amounts of sleep. While 7 hours of sleep may be plenty for you, your child or mother may need 9 hours to feel rested and refreshed.
Sleep and the need for it is affected by many things such as age, lifestyle or shift work. All these things can change throughout our lives. It is incorrect to simply state "everyone should sleep 8 hours per night." Many studies, tests, surveys and lots of research has proven over the years that sleep is like your fingerprint...different for everyone.
